Genuine Volumic print head fan for Performance series 3D printers: STREAM30 SC2, SH65 and EXO. It cools the cold section of the head and maintains the thermal separation between the heating zone and the filament path.
A fan that is clogged, noisy or slowing down lets heat creep up into the head. The filament then softens too early, causing under-extrusion and then jams, especially during long prints.
Maintenance and replacement
Regular dusting of the fan and its duct extends its service life. When the bearing wears or the speed drops, the fan is replaced with an identical part. This reference is specific to Performance heads: standard and Plus machines use a different model.
