28 mm PTFE tube for the extruder body of Volumic STREAM30, SH65 and EXO series 3D printers. It guides the filament inside the extruder, between the drive system and the print head, and reduces friction along the material path.
Exposed to heat and the constant passage of filament, PTFE wears: over time it deforms or becomes clogged. A worn tube shows up as irregular feeding, under-extrusion or jams.
Replacement and maintenance stock
The tube is replaced during work on the extruder, without modifying the machine. On a production fleet, keeping a few tubes in reserve makes it possible to deal with a jam or wear without taking the printer out of service.
