The 3 Nm torque screwdriver (reference ACC2365) is a workshop tool designed for controlled nozzle tightening on FDM printheads. It is supplied with its blade and 7 mm socket, the format corresponding to the flat of standard market nozzles. The torque calibrated at 3 N·m allows the tightening force recommended by most hotend manufacturers to be applied, limiting the risk of filament leakage at the nozzle/heat-break joint and preserving thread integrity.
Use
The tool is used during nozzle changes, after heating the hotend to the printing or purge temperature, to ensure a hot-tight seal without excessive thread stress. Torque tightening avoids the two classic pitfalls of hand or spanner tightening: under-tightening causing leakage during printing, and over-tightening potentially distorting the nozzle or preventing future disassembly. It forms part of regular printhead maintenance in production environments.
