Function
The NTC 100k thermistor is a temperature sensor whose resistance decreases as temperature increases. Fitted at the heater block, it measures the nozzle temperature and sends the information to the control system, which maintains the set temperature during printing.
A faulty thermistor causes temperature reading errors and the print to stop. As a spare part, it replaces a worn or failed sensor.
Use
The 260 mm cable connects the thermistor to the printer's electronics. Replacement is carried out following the procedure in the Prusa repair manual for the relevant printer model, available in the manufacturer's knowledge base.
