DIMAFIX spray is an adhesive lacquer for 3D printing designed to strengthen the grip of the first layer on the heated build plate. Supplied in aerosol form, it is applied by spraying directly onto the print surface before starting the job. Its formula is compatible with the majority of common FDM filaments, making it a proven reference in prototyping workshops and production environments.
Print behaviour
The product is designed for heated build plates and limits warping – the delamination and distortion of the first layer caused by polymer shrinkage during cooling.
Its strong adhesion keeps the part bonded to the plate throughout the duration of the job, a prerequisite for dimensional stability of large-format parts or parts printed over long sessions.
Maintenance and cleaning
The residue deposited on the plate is soluble in water: wiping with warm water is sufficient to remove it between applications, without the need for aggressive solvents. This simplifies routine plate maintenance and reduces the risk of chemical damage to sensitive surfaces. A safety data sheet (SDS) is available from the manufacturer for use in professional environments.
