Prusament Resin Impact65 is an SLA resin formulated to take impact. Its Izod impact strength reaches 65 kJ/m², its tensile strength 25 MPa and its elongation at break 30 %, values close to those of several common thermoplastics. Thin walls deform instead of breaking, which brings its behaviour close to that of a hard rubber.
The formulation contains no bisphenol A, acryloylmorpholine or TPO. Prusa presents it as an easy resin to print, usable with the PrusaSlicer profiles without specific tuning.
Post-processing and property stability
A 10 minute wash followed by one hour of curing in the CW1S is enough to fix the behaviour of the material. Past that step, the mechanical properties of the part no longer change. Prusa also reports outdoor durability that is uncommon for an SLA resin in this category, with prolonged resistance to UV, humidity and low temperatures, excluding exposure to high temperatures.
