Polypropylene filament filled with glass fibres, manufactured by Prusa Research and supplied on an 850 g spool with NFC tag. PP brings low weight and chemical resistance, while the glass fibres provide dimensional stability that strongly limits warping. Temperature resistance reaches 138 °C.
The translucent white base colour makes the material dyeable, and the printed surface has a rough matt finish. The manufacturer cites applications in automotive, aerospace, drone parts and laboratory equipment such as vial racks.
Adhesion and preparation
PP does not adhere to standard PEI sheets: a PP sheet or a separation layer is required. As glass fibres are highly abrasive, a hardened steel nozzle is necessary. Drying beforehand is not needed. The material is not suited to fine details and its layer adhesion remains lower than that of pure PP. Printing in an enclosure contains odours and ultrafine particles and improves layer bonding. Small white microcracks may appear on the filament surface without affecting printing, and the manufacturer does not guarantee perfect winding.
