Polypropylene filament filled with recycled carbon fibres, manufactured by Prusa Research and supplied on a 650 g spool with NFC tag. It resists many solvents, bases, non-oxidising acids and oils, and withstands up to 120 °C.
Its low density and chemical resistance direct it towards laboratory equipment, automotive parts, aerospace and radio-controlled models. The printed surface is matt black, and its dimensional stability allows large parts to be printed without an enclosure.
Printing conditions
A hardened steel nozzle is required, as carbon fibres quickly wear brass nozzles. Adhesion on standard PEI is insufficient: a PP sheet or, failing that, PP tape is needed. Drying is not required. Layer adhesion is lower than that of pure PP; printing in a closed enclosure improves it and contains odours and ultrafine particles. Small white microcracks may appear on the filament surface without affecting part properties.
