Prusa upgrade kit that turns an Original Prusa XL into a Prusa XL+. It brings the hardware improvements of the XL+: GT1.5 belts and pulleys, more powerful print fans, a 360° fan shroud, a nozzle wiper, improved cooling for the motherboard and the bed control board, and more than 30 printed parts in PC and PCCF designed for the temperatures of a heated enclosure. Prusa states that printing is 10 to 15% faster than with the XL.
The kit is available according to the number of heads on the machine (1, 2 or 5), with or without replacement Dwarf boards and with or without 0.4 mm CHT nozzles. The 2- and 5-head versions add the tool offset sensor, which automates toolhead alignment.
Checking Dwarf boards before ordering
Not all Dwarf boards are compatible with this upgrade. The serial number is found on each toolhead, in the format 08|XXXX-XX|xXX. Boards marked 08 or higher are compatible. A board marked 07 or lower must be replaced before the upgrade, which is covered by the variants with Dwarf boards included.
