The Print Fan MK3/S/+, MINI/+ is the replacement part-cooling fan for Original Prusa i3 MK3, MK3S, MK3S+, and Original Prusa MINI and MINI+ FDM printers. It is a radial fan (blower) whose function is to blow an airflow onto the part being printed, immediately after filament deposition, to rapidly solidify the material and improve the quality of bridges, overhangs, and fine details.
This reference matches the mechanical and electrical specifications of the factory-installed fan, guaranteeing an airflow, connector, and thermal signature consistent with the calibration profile of Prusa firmwares.
Implementation
The fan installs on the designated extruder cowling, connected to the corresponding connector on the electronic board. Replacement requires partial disassembly of the extrusion carriage; Prusa Research provides a detailed repair manual on its online knowledge base, to be selected according to the relevant printer model, to ensure compliant reassembly and preserve the SuperPINDA / contact sensor calibration as well as fan PWM regulation.
