The Prusa Nozzle brass CHT 0.4 mm is a high-flow brass nozzle dedicated to the Nextruder extrusion system developed by Prusa Research. It incorporates CHT (Core Heating Technology), which splits the melt channel into several sub-channels to increase the thermal exchange surface with the filament and improve heating homogeneity.
This results in a higher volumetric throughput than a conventional brass nozzle of the same diameter, useful for high-speed printing or large parts without compromising extrusion quality.
Design and installation
The nozzle is all-metal in design: it combines the nozzle and heat break into a single piece, eliminating any PTFE tube in the filament path within the Nextruder. This architecture improves long-term extrusion reliability and allows fast nozzle changes without fully disassembling the hotend. The brass material is suited to non-abrasive filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, etc.); for fibre-filled or abrasive materials, a hardened steel version should be used. Several diameters are available in the range.
