The X and Y Motor Pulley (part reference PRO1658) is an original Volumic spare part for driving the X and Y axis belts on FDM 3D printers in the Stream range (MK2, MK3, SC, SC2, ULTRA), SH65 series, and EXO series. Machined entirely in brass, it installs on the stepper motor shaft to transmit torque to the toothed belt of the carriage.
Design and fixing
The pulley is fitted with a dual grub screw clamping system, which ensures reliable retention on the motor shaft and limits slippage during rapid carriage accelerations. The brass body offers a controlled compromise between surface hardness, fine tooth machining, and wear resistance under repeated contact with the belt. Replacement is typically required in the event of play appearing on the axis, abnormal drive noise, or visible tooth wear after prolonged use in production.
