Characteristics and material compatibility
This sheet attaches by high Curie temperature magnets to the heated bed of the XL. Its powder-coated surface with a slightly textured matt finish, intermediate between the smooth and textured sheets, is particularly suited to PLA and PETG, without requiring a release layer for the vast majority of materials.
It is compatible with a wide range of common and less common filaments: ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, polycarbonate and others. Polycarbonate prints better on this satin finish than on the smooth or textured sheets; for regular PC printing, a layer of glue stick is recommended to avoid damaging the sheet.
Precautions and limitations
This sheet must never be cleaned with acetone: the solvent creates microfractures in the texture, leading to rapid deterioration of the surface. Parts must never be removed with a sharp metal object such as a spatula.
Prints in ASA and PC Blend require a brim, skirt or shield around the part.
