Winkle PLA High Speed is a PLA formulated for fast FDM printers. Its higher flowability and reduced heat capacity speed up melting and then cooling of the material, which preserves surface finish and sharp detail as print speed increases.
The manufacturer states mechanical properties higher than those of a standard PLA in fast printing, with better layer adhesion and increased impact resistance. It allows large parts to be printed quickly while keeping good dimensional accuracy.
Settings for high-speed printing
Winkle tested this filament at 1200 mm/s, with a volumetric flow of up to 24 mm³/s. Set the nozzle between 220 and 250 °C and the bed between 40 and 60 °C. Printing is preferably done in a ventilated environment. These values assume a correctly calibrated printer (PID, mechanics and hotend).
