Winkle PLA HD Glow is a PLA filament loaded with phosphorescent pigments, made in Spain for FDM/FFF 3D printing. After exposure to a natural or artificial light source, the printed part emits a visible glow in the dark, without any external lighting.
It is available on a 1 kg spool, in Alien Green, in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameters.
Processing and glow effect
The filament prints like a standard PLA, between 190 and 230 °C, on a bed heated between 50 and 70 °C, with no special equipment. The manufacturer recommends a 0.4 mm nozzle. The intensity and duration of the glow increase with the light exposure time and with the wall thickness of the part, a point to consider when setting up slicing. The material is suited to decorative parts, signage and luminous prototypes.
