Prusa upgrade package that takes an Original Prusa XL fitted with two toolheads to a five-toolhead configuration. The three added Multi-Tool Nextruders each carry their own filament, and the printer's toolchanger combines them in a single print, in several materials or several colours.
The kit also supplies the electronic expansion required to run the additional heads, with an XL splitter board and an additional power supply, along with two 0.4 mm nozzles for the Nextruder already installed.
Multi-material printing without purging
Each filament stays loaded in its dedicated head. Material changes therefore take place without a wipe tower and without filament scraps around the printer. Combining two materials also helps limit the consumption of technical filaments, for example by printing the part in PCCF and its supports in PLA.
Installation tools
Assembly tools are not included. They are part of the tool set supplied with the Original Prusa XL: mini wrench and universal wrench for dock calibration, PH2 screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, T10 key at least 71 mm long, 2.5 mm Allen key at least 86 mm long and 3.0 mm Allen key at least 128 mm long.
