The Nextruder Hotend brass 0.40 mm is a fully pre-assembled hotend assembly dedicated to the Nextruder extrusion system developed by Prusa Research. Supplied ready to fit, it brings together all the thermal components required for filament melting and deposition on FDM printers equipped with the Nextruder.
This spare part enables a complete hotend replacement in a single operation, without having to individually assemble the nozzle, heater block, heater cartridge and thermistor. Several nozzle diameters are available in the range; this reference corresponds to the brass 0.40 mm version.
Composition and installation
The assembly integrates a 0.40 mm Prusa brass nozzle, a Nextruder aluminium heater block, a 40 W heater cartridge (120 mm) and an NTC 100k thermistor (115 mm). The brass nozzle is suited to extrusion of non-abrasive filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC). For fibre-filled (carbon, glass) or abrasive materials, a hardened steel nozzle should be used instead. Installation is carried out according to the Prusa repair manual for the relevant printer model, available on the manufacturer's online knowledge base.
