Function
This aluminium block is the central element of the Nextruder hotend: it holds the heating element, the thermistor and the nozzle, and distributes the heat needed to melt the filament before it is extruded.
A damaged or deformed heater block can lead to irregular temperature control or material leaks at the threads.
Contents and installation
The product includes the Nextruder heater block and 3 M3x4 set screws (Torx 6). Replacement follows the procedure in the Prusa repair manual for the printer model concerned, available in the manufacturer's knowledge base.
