The Nextruder Heater Block is the aluminium heater block integrated into the hotend assembly of the Nextruder, the extrusion system developed by Prusa Research for its FDM printers equipped with this platform. It is the part that maintains the heating cartridge and thermistor in contact with the nozzle, ensuring the thermal regulation required for filament melting.
This spare part allows a worn, damaged, or material-residue-contaminated block to be replaced without having to change the entire hotend.
Kit contents and implementation
The kit includes one Nextruder heater block and three M3x4 Torx 6 locking screws required for mounting on the hotend. The operation requires partial disassembly of the extruder assembly. Prusa Research provides a detailed repair manual on its online knowledge base, to be selected according to the relevant printer model, to ensure correct reassembly of the part.
