The X and Y motor is a replacement stepper motor for driving the horizontal axes of Volumic 3D printers. Identical for both axes, it drives the printhead in the XY plane via the machine's belt transmission system.
A single reference covers the entire Stream and EXO range in their recent versions, simplifying spare parts stock management in multi-machine fleets.
Identification and compatibility precautions
The part features a distinctive notch on the motor body that allows it to be identified relative to earlier generations. This notch is the indicator to check before any replacement.
Early MK1 and MK2 motors without this notch are not compatible with this model. If in doubt about the installed version, or for replacement on a v1 motor without a notch, prior contact with a Volumic advisor is required.
