Adhesion of flexible filaments
Magigoo Flex has been formulated to address the adhesion issues encountered with flexible materials in FDM printing. Some TPU, TPE or TPC materials show poor grip on conventional surfaces such as glass or PEI, while others adhere excessively and make part removal difficult.
The solution acts as an intermediate layer between the heated bed and the printed part in order to limit warping, stabilise the first layer and simplify release after the plate has cooled.
Application and care
Application is carried out directly on a cold plate using the integrated applicator system. The formulation has been tested with various brands of flexible filament and can be used on several types of common printing surfaces. After printing, cleaning is done simply with water using a damp cloth. For large-surface parts, using an adhesion brim can improve print stability.
