Set of five post-processing tools assembled by Prusa Research: Olfa AK-5 scalpel, Olfa SAC-1 precision knife, TB1000 deburring tool, cutting pliers and a set of six needle files. It covers the usual finishing operations after printing, from cutting supports to fitting holes.
The scalpel is used for fine cuts of masking tape or film and for removing small defects, brims and supports. The knife cuts adhesive tapes, opens bags and boxes and helps release SLA prints from the platform.
Role of each tool
The TB1000 deburring tool removes brims and cleans the edges and holes of printed parts. The cutting pliers cut wires, cables and filament ends, and detach print supports. The six needle files, each with a different shape, are used to fit clearance holes and smooth contact surfaces.
