Printing behaviour
A high-performance material, PEKK Carbon extrudes between 350 and 390 °C on a heated bed of 110 to 150 °C, at a speed of 20 to 40 mm/s. Its processing requires a high-temperature FDM printer with a heated, regulated chamber.
The carbon-fibre reinforcement increases its rigidity and limits warping, which promotes the dimensional stability of parts. Pre-drying is recommended, with the residual moisture content needing to remain below 1 %.
Properties and applications
PEKK Carbon has a glass transition temperature of 160 °C and a maximum service temperature of 150 °C, combined with good chemical resistance to acids and to hydrocarbons such as fuels and lubricants. These characteristics make it suitable for functional parts in the industrial, automotive and aerospace sectors, including engine-compartment components.
Store away from light, moisture and heat in order to preserve the product's properties.
