The HT Hotend Upgrade adds a second, tool-free swappable hotend to a Prusa CORE One family printer, with a nozzle temperature of up to 400 °C. It opens the machine to high-temperature engineering materials such as carbon or glass filled PPS and PPA-CF.
The kit includes the HT hotend fitted with a 0.4 mm hardened ObXidian 500 nozzle, two new idlers (one for standard materials, the other for high-temperature filaments), a new main plate printed in PC Blend Carbon Fiber, a pair of gloves and a printed user guide.
Setup and use
Switching from the standard hotend to the HT hotend is tool-free and takes less than a minute, so the same machine can alternate between everyday production and high-temperature parts. The HT hotend also prints more common materials such as ASA or PC Blend, with dedicated high-temperature PrusaSlicer profiles that reduce warping and improve interlayer adhesion.
The hotend is handled with the supplied gloves to avoid grease stains. Some high-temperature materials require additional equipment: a High-Temp print sheet, dry filament storage and enclosure filtration for materials that release fumes.
