Function and contents
The thermistor measures the temperature of the heated bed and sends the information to the printer's control system, which maintains the set temperature during printing. A faulty thermistor causes temperature reading errors and print stoppages.
The kit includes the thermistor, a Kapton tape, and an aluminium tape for fitting it to the bed. The cable is fitted with a Molex 5057-9402 connector.
Use
Replacement is carried out following the procedure in the Prusa repair manual for the relevant printer model, available in the manufacturer's knowledge base. Fitting with the supplied tapes ensures good thermal contact with the bed.
