Francofil PETG M-XR is filled with metallic and ceramic particles that make it detectable in three ways: by X-ray, by metal detectors and visually thanks to its blue colour. It is intended for parts used on production lines where a lost fragment must be identified before it reaches the finished product, particularly in the food industry.
The filament is extruded by Francofil in Normandy and is available on 1, 5 and 10 kg spools, in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameters.
Processing
The nozzle is set between 225 and 250 °C and the heated bed between 65 and 75 °C. Francofil recommends a moderate print speed of 30 to 50 mm/s and the use of a steel nozzle.
