The particulate filter for STREAM hood is a replacement HEPA filter for the enclosures of Volumic FDM Stream series 3D printers. It mounts on the filtration system integrated into the enclosure and retains fine particles generated during printing (molten filament microparticles, dust, and suspended residues inside the heated enclosure).
Periodic replacement is required to maintain the air quality expelled by the enclosure and the performance of the filtration system: it forms part of preventive maintenance suited to professional environments where emission control is an installation requirement (design offices, workshops, laboratories, professional fab labs).
Application
Replacement is carried out according to printer usage frequency, the type of filaments used, and the observed contamination of the installed filter. The procedure is performed with the enclosure open, machine switched off and cooled, by accessing the filtration housing on the Stream enclosure. The used filter must be handled with appropriate PPE (gloves, mask) and disposed of in accordance with the rules applicable to industrial waste containing fine particles.
