Printing behaviour
Filaflex 60A prints at 235 °C on a lacquered build plate heated to 45 °C, with a brass or copper nozzle. Its very low hardness (Shore 60A) requires a direct drive extruder dedicated to flexible filaments: a Bowden system or standard extruder almost invariably causes filament buckling and extrusion chamber obstruction.
Adhesion on lacquered build plate is strong; a release agent or a reduction of the first layer may be useful to facilitate part removal without deformation. The difficulty level remains high, and low print speeds are recommended to maintain consistent extrusion.
Applications
A proven Spanish-made formulation, this TPU targets parts requiring pronounced elasticity and good fatigue resistance: flexible seals, shock absorbers, sole prototypes, protective covers, gripping parts, bellows, and sealing elements. Its very low Shore hardness distinguishes it from the stiffer TPUs (82A, 90A) in the same range, which are more oriented towards semi-flexible parts subject to repeated mechanical stress.
