Filaflex Conductive is a Shore 92A TPU loaded to conduct electricity. It allows soft, conductive parts to be printed in a single material: flexible circuits, pressure-sensitive buttons, touchpads, joysticks or interfaces for Arduino-type boards, as well as elements printed directly onto textiles.
Recreus intends it for low-current applications. The electrical resistance of the part depends on the printing parameters, which allows it to be adjusted without changing material.
Processing
The manufacturer specifies 250 °C with 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm nozzles, up to 255 °C with 1.0 mm, with a volumetric flow of 4.0 mm³/s at 0.4 mm. Like any TPU, the strand stretches as it leaves the nozzle: flow and temperature are adjusted to ensure electrical continuity between walls and perimeters. Retraction stays short, 1.5 to 2.0 mm at 20 mm/s.
No hardened nozzle is required. Recreus recommends purging the nozzle with PETG after use and drying the spool at 55 °C for one hour before printing.
