Filaflex 95A is a flexible TPU filament with a Shore 95A hardness, which Recreus positions as a medium-flex formulation: soft enough to absorb repeated deformation, rigid enough to be extruded without exotic settings.
Its stated elongation at break of 500 % suits parts that work in flexion — seals, bumpers, protective covers, elastic components — where a PLA or a PETG would end up breaking.
Printing behaviour
Recreus documents a nozzle temperature of 245 °C at 0,4 mm, 248 °C at 0,8 mm and 250 °C at 1,0 mm. The bed can stay at room temperature and rise to 55 °C on large-footprint parts, adhesion being achieved without any additional adhesive.
Retraction is set between 1,8 and 3,0 mm at 40 mm/s, with a 0,2 mm Z-hop. The recommended volumetric flow runs from 4,5 mm³/s at 0,4 mm to 28,1 mm³/s at 1,0 mm: on a flexible material it is the flow, not the linear speed, that caps the pace.
Storage and drying
TPU is hygroscopic: a spool left in open air absorbs moisture and produces extrusion defects that are hard to make up for at the slicing stage. The manufacturer specifies drying at 55 °C for at least one hour before printing.
