Filaflex 82A is the reference TPU of the Recreus range, with a Shore 82A hardness and an elongation at break of 650 %. The printed part returns to its original shape after stretching, which makes it the standard material for FDM-printed seals, bellows, dampers, grippers and soles.
The filament adheres to the build plate without heating for small parts and without additional adhesive. It is odourless and resistant to solvents and fuels.
Printing behaviour
Recreus recommends direct extrusion. Like any TPU, the strand stretches as it leaves the nozzle: the line width is slightly smaller than the nozzle diameter, and speed is set as a volumetric flow, 3.2 mm³/s with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The part cooling fan stays off, except on layers shorter than 8 seconds.
Drying for at least one hour at 55 °C before printing limits stringing and extrusion defects. Fast travel moves reduce oozing between two printed areas.
