The heater sensor (reference PID1051) is a genuine Volumic spare part for printhead temperature measurement across a wide range of Stream, SH, and EXO printers. The sensor continuously transmits the hot-zone temperature to the printer's control system, which drives the heater cartridge in a closed loop (PID) to maintain the target temperature during extrusion.
Function and replacement
Replacement is typically required in the event of a temperature error displayed by the printer, thermal regulation drift, a discrepancy between the target and measured temperature, or a sudden print interruption caused by loss of sensor signal. This is a normal consumable part in production environments; regular inspection is recommended as part of preventive maintenance.
Compatibility covers the STANDARD and PLUS variants of the affected models, as well as the STREAM30 SC2 Performance. Other Performance variants are not compatible with this reference: refer to the dedicated part for the Performance series for those printers.
