The Revo ObXidian nozzle is designed for abrasive filaments. Its specialised hardened steel tip is combined with a copper body, a steel tube and a copper threaded section. The assembly receives the E3DLC coating, which gives wear resistance far above other E3D nozzles and non-stick properties that limit material build-up around the nozzle.
Preassembled with its heatbreak, it is changed by hand and cold on any Revo hotend, with no tools.
Usage limits
Some heavily filled materials, including Polymaker's PolyMide range (PA612-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PA12-CF), can cause significant wear on an ObXidian nozzle. For filled materials, check the minimum recommended nozzle diameter on the filament datasheet. Glow in the dark filaments contain strontium aluminate, which is very hard. Printed at high speed, they can wear the E3DLC coating. A Z offset adjustment may be needed after a nozzle change.
