The Revo HT-Abrasive nozzle combines the temperature capability of the HT range with abrasion resistance. On the principle of the ObXidian nozzle, it combines a hardened steel tip, a copper carrier and a copper spreader that optimises heat transfer to the heatsink. The chromium nitride coating adds protection against abrasion and corrosion as well as non-stick properties, for printing up to 500 °C.
Preassembled with its heat break, the nozzle is changed by hand, cold. It is supplied without a silicone sock.
Temperature and materials
With the 40 W and 60 W Revo HeaterCores, the temperature remains limited to 300 °C. To print up to 500 °C, E3D recommends a Revo High Temperature hotside. Some heavily filled materials, including Polymaker's PolyMide range, can cause significant wear on this nozzle. Check the minimum recommended nozzle diameter on the filament datasheet.
