The complete STREAM MK2 heater block is a replacement component for Volumic STREAM MK2 FDM 3D printers. The assembly integrates the heating cartridge, the thermal sensor, and a cable with quick-change connector to facilitate maintenance operations on the printhead.
Supplied without nozzle or heat break, this block allows replacement of the heating section only whilst retaining compatible components already present on the printer. Its interchangeable design facilitates servicing in production or prototyping environments that require rapid recommissioning.
Maintenance and implementation
Replacement of the heater block requires careful handling of the heat break and heating cables to avoid any deformation or fracture caused by high thermal cycling. After the intervention, a PID recalibration of the printhead is recommended to maintain stable thermal regulation and limit the risks of under-extrusion or temperature variation.
