AESUB Violet is a self-evaporating matting spray designed to prepare parts before 3D scanning. Developed by 3D metrology specialists, it deposits a fine, matt and homogeneous layer on the part to be scanned, creating the contrast necessary for capturing details with structured light, laser triangulation or infrared light technologies. This formulation is particularly suited to transparent parts (where light passes through the surface rather than reflecting), shiny or mirror-like surfaces (polished metals, mirrors) and complex geometries with deep cavities, which cause artefacts when scanned directly.
Its particular characteristic is a pigment-free composition: the spray mist does not contaminate laboratories, optical sensors or measurement environments, and the coating evaporates automatically after scanning without leaving residue or requiring a cleaning step. This makes it a proven solution for metrology workshops, reverse engineering and quality control workflows in series production.
Application
Shake the can before use, then spray at 15–20 cm from the part with regular movements to achieve a uniform matt layer. Wait for the deposit to dry completely before scanning. The layer then evaporates automatically, without intervention. The product is compatible with a wide range of materials, but specific compatibility must be validated by the user for the intended application.
Precautions and storage
Extremely flammable aerosol: keep away from all heat sources, hot surfaces, sparks or naked flames. Do not pierce or burn the container, even after use. Do not expose to above 50 °C, store protected from direct sunlight. Use in a well-ventilated area, appropriate PPE recommended for prolonged use.
