Printing behaviour
Flexmark 9 prints on a bed heated to around 45 °C, at a speed of around 35 mm/s. Its Shore 90A hardness makes it the firmest of the Flexmark range, and therefore the easiest to print, while still being a flexible material that benefits from a direct drive extruder.
As with most thermoplastic elastomers, pre-drying the filament and a steady print speed improve extrusion quality.
Properties and applications
With an elongation at break of 600% and good elastic recovery, Flexmark 9 returns to its shape after deformation.
The TPU offers high resistance to chemicals and wear, with controlled compression behaviour (compression set of 35 to 45% at 70 °C). It is suited to seals, wear-resistant parts, dampers, and flexible technical components.
