Propriétés mécaniques
La Tough 2000 reproduit la rigidité et la résistance de l'ABS. Avec une résistance à la traction de 46 MPa, un module de traction de 2,2 GPa et un allongement à la rupture de 48 %, elle produit des pièces rigides qui résistent à la flexion et à la déformation sous charge. Sa température de fléchissement sous charge atteint 63 °C à 0,45 MPa, ce qui assure une tenue dimensionnelle correcte à température modérée.
Ces caractéristiques la destinent aux gabarits et montages exigeant une faible déflexion, aux prototypes structurels, aux boîtiers et aux connecteurs mécaniques soumis à l'usure.
Mise en œuvre et post-traitement
La Tough 2000 s'imprime en SLA aux résolutions de 100 et 50 µm et nécessite une post-cuisson pour atteindre ses propriétés mécaniques finales. Le lavage se fait à l'isopropanol : un solvant chargé à plus de 5 % de résine peut laisser un fini légèrement collant, auquel cas un second cycle en solvant propre est recommandé. Les pièces peuvent être usinées après impression. À noter que ce matériau réduit la durée de vie des bacs à résine.
