The STREAM MK2 Copper/Nickel Printhead is a complete and interchangeable extrusion assembly designed by Volumic for its second-generation (MK2) Stream series FDM printers, in Pro 20 and Pro 30 configurations. Supplied ready to fit, it brings together all the components required for filament melting and deposition: heater block, copper/nickel nozzle, cooling body and filament guide tube.
The nickel-plated copper nozzle offers high thermal conductivity and good performance with non-aggressive filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, etc.). Several diameters are available in the range to cover both surface quality and throughput requirements.
Installation
The complete interchangeable printhead format allows rapid extrusion configuration changes in a matter of minutes, without individually disassembling components or deep intervention on the thermal wiring. For fibre-filled or abrasive materials, a steel variant of the same printhead should be used. Installation is carried out according to the procedure documented by Volumic in its online technical support, with the machine switched off and the printhead cooled. Note: this product is made to order and has a short manufacturing lead time; it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for schedule confirmation in urgent cases.
