TPM Wash Solvent is a cleaning solvent based on tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether with a stated purity of 99 % or above, supplied in a 5 litre canister. It is used to wash parts coming out of a resin printer, before post-curing.
Its low evaporation rate limits losses in the tank and its odour stays faint, which makes it easy to use in a workshop without dedicated extraction.
Processing
The cleaning tank is filled with fresh solvent, a pre-wash in a second container of already used solvent extending the life of the main bath. Parts stay at least five minutes in the TPM, then are rinsed with water or isopropanol. A surface still tacky after drying indicates an incomplete wash and calls for a second pass.
Storage and precautions
Wearing nitrile gloves is recommended during handling. Used solvent is collected and disposed of under the local regulations applying to chemical waste, never into the waste water system.
