Layer stability for long-duration acquisitions
REFLECON Tarnish 90 is designed for 3D scanning applications requiring prolonged stability of the matting layer. Unlike sublimating sprays, it retains its coating on the part until manual removal, making it suited to extended measurement campaigns, multi-position inspections, and complex acquisitions in industrial environments.
The deposited layer reduces parasitic reflections on glossy, transparent, black, or metallic surfaces to improve data capture by laser scanners and structured-light systems. Its homogeneous behaviour also limits contrast variations during scanning operations.
Application and post-treatment cleaning
The product generates a fine, regular layer with a controlled thickness compatible with the requirements of optical metrology and reverse engineering. Its formulation is suited to applications requiring prolonged hold without visible coating variation during measurement cycles.
The spray does not sublimate after application and requires manual cleaning once operations are complete. A preliminary test is recommended before use on certain technical plastics, painted surfaces, or solvent-sensitive materials.
