The Prusa Nozzle brass is a high-precision brass nozzle designed by Prusa Research for the Nextruder extrusion system. It features an all-metal architecture integrating nozzle and heat break in a single piece, eliminating any PTFE tube in the filament path within the hotend.
This one-piece design improves long-term extrusion reliability and allows fast nozzle changes without fully disassembling the hotend, making it a suitable reference for series production or prototyping workshop use. Several diameters are available in the range to cover both surface quality and throughput requirements.
Installation
The brass nozzle is suited to common non-abrasive filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, etc.). For fibre-filled (carbon, glass) or abrasive materials, a hardened steel version should be used. Replacement is carried out according to the Prusa assembly manual for the relevant printer model, available on the manufacturer's online knowledge base. For users with V6-format nozzles, the dedicated Nextruder V6 adapter allows the existing stock to be retained.
