The build plate locking clamp (part reference VIS1621) is an original Volumic spare part designed to secure the glass-ceramic build plate on Volumic Stream 20 and Stream 30 3D printers, in their MK1, MK2, SC, and ULTRA variants. It positions at the perimeter of the build plate to lock it in the working position and ensure stable seating of the part during printing.
Function and replacement
The clamp provides mechanical retention of the print build plate against its support, contributing to the dimensional stability of parts and repeatability of first-layer calibration. Replacement is typically required in the event of play appearing in the fixing, visible wear, or to reconstitute a complete set during preventive maintenance.
