The Magigoo Glide Kit was developed to simplify the application of first-layer adhesives on FDM printers with large build surfaces or integrated into print farms. The Glide Roller allows a thin, even layer of Magigoo Original to be spread over the whole plate with controlled, repeatable application.
This method limits the areas of excess thickness or lack of adhesive that can cause adhesion defects, warping or detachment during printing. The system is compatible with common thermoplastics as well as several technical materials used in production and prototyping.
Maintenance and use in a production environment
The kit includes an application roller, a holder, a bottle of Magigoo Original and a cleaning cloth intended for the upkeep of printing surfaces. Application is carried out on a cold plate in order to obtain an even layer before the temperature rises.
After printing and cooling of the heated bed, parts can be removed without tools in most cases. Adhesive residues clean off simply with water, which facilitates maintenance operations between two print cycles.
