Printing behaviour
TPU-92A extrudes between 210 and 250 °C on a heated bed of 60 to 90 °C, at a speed of 20 to 70 mm/s. As a polyurethane elastomer, it requires controlled feeding, with direct-drive extrusion generally preferable for flexible materials.
With a hardness of 92 Shore A and elongation at break of around 351 %, it prints soft, strong parts that retain their elasticity after deformation. Its no-break impact behaviour makes it suitable for parts subjected to repeated stress.
Resistances and applications
TPU-92A offers good resistance to heat and to the outdoor environment, as well as chemical stability towards solvents and oily or greasy substances. It is used in the food, electronics, automotive, consumer goods and sports equipment sectors.
