Properties and applications
Kimya rPETG-GF combines a PETG made from recycled materials with a glass-fibre reinforcement. The glass fibre increases rigidity and flexural strength, improves dimensional stability and limits warping compared with a standard PETG, while retaining the good chemical resistance and ease of processing characteristic of PETG.
It is suited to functional prototyping and the production of technical parts: supports, jigs and components for industrial applications. Its recycled-material formulation is part of an approach to reducing environmental impact.
Use and storage
As PETG is sensitive to moisture, drying the filament before printing is recommended to preserve extrusion quality and surface appearance. The glass fibre also makes the material abrasive: the use of a hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle is advised. Store away from light, moisture and heat in order to maintain the product's properties.
