Printing behaviour and technical applications

Kimya's PC-S is a polycarbonate filament designed for producing functional parts requiring high heat resistance as well as good mechanical rigidity. Its formulation is suited to the engineering, industrial, automotive or aerospace sectors for the production of technical components, casings, protective elements or functional validation parts.

This material can be sterilised and holds food-contact certifications. Its thermal resistance up to 140 °C allows it to be used in environments where standard materials such as PLA or PETG reach their limits.

Use and precautions

Printing PC-S requires high extrusion temperatures as well as a heated bed in order to limit shrinkage phenomena and ensure correct adhesion of the first layers. The material is available in several diameters in order to suit the various professional FDM printer ecosystems. It complies with REACH and RoHS regulations for easier integration into industrial environments.

About Kimya

Origine : France
