Thermal resistance and flame-retardant properties
Kimya PC-FR is an amorphous polycarbonate-based thermoplastic incorporating flame-retardant properties suited to environments subject to regulatory constraints. It retains the mechanical characteristics of polycarbonate, notably good impact resistance, controlled dimensional stability and a wide operating temperature range.
The material meets the requirements of the EN 45545 railway standard and is used for manufacturing technical parts intended for the transport, electrical, electronics or industrial sectors. Its formulation also complies with REACH and RoHS regulations.
Use and printing conditions
PC-FR requires high extrusion temperatures as well as a heated bed in order to obtain optimal adhesion and to limit the internal stresses linked to cooling. Its good dimensional stability allows the production of functional parts, production components and prototypes subjected to thermal or mechanical stress. The filament is available in several diameters and pack sizes according to manufacturing needs.
