Printing behaviour
CPE is a technical material based on a copolyester designed for applications requiring better chemical and thermal resistance than a standard PLA. It shows limited shrinkage during printing, which makes it easier to obtain dimensionally stable parts while maintaining good inter-layer adhesion.
Its formulation is suited to the production of functional prototypes, jigs or components intended for technical use. The material can be used on open or enclosed FDM equipment depending on part geometry and the production constraints sought.
Applications and storage
CPE is used in industrial environments for the manufacture of parts exposed to moisture, certain chemical agents or moderate mechanical stress. Its surface can be post-processed according to finishing requirements or integration into an assembly.
As with all copolyesters, it is recommended to store the filament in a dry environment in order to preserve extrusion quality and limit defects linked to moisture absorption during storage.
