Formlabs Rigid 10K Resin is the stiffest resin in the Formlabs engineering resins range. Its high glass content gives it a stiffness similar to fiber-filled thermoplastics and a smooth, matte finish, for precise industrial parts under high load and in hot or chemical environments.

Printing and post-processing behavior

Rigid 10K is supplied in a cartridge, with automatic printing parameter selection on Formlabs SLA printers. It prints at 100 and 50 µm resolutions depending on the printer. The "10K" designation refers to the material's tensile modulus index, making it Formlabs' reference resin for parts that need to withstand significant load without deforming.

Post-processing combines washing, drying, and UV post-curing in Form Cure; an optional thermal cycle in a non-food oven at 90 °C for 125 minutes improves thermal resistance. Sandblasting (media blasting) as an additional post-treatment improves all mechanical properties (tensile, flexural, impact).

Applications

Rigid 10K targets precise and resistant industrial parts: molds, jigs, dies, tooling, wind tunnel models, aerodynamic parts, technical supports. Its heat and chemical resistance allows for applications in short-run injection molding, thermal validation, humid environments, or occasional contact with solvents.
