Printing behaviour
FLEX SemiSoft prints at a temperature of 220 to 250 °C on a heated bed of 50 to 90 °C, at a speed of 20 to 100 mm/s. Its Shore A85 hardness, softer than a semi-rigid TPU, requires steady, well-controlled extrusion.
A direct drive system and pre-drying the filament are recommended to limit the extrusion irregularities typical of soft materials.
Properties and applications
With an elongation at break of 550 %, FLEX SemiSoft offers great flexibility and good shape recovery, along with resistance to chemicals and UV radiation and thermal performance up to 98 °C. These characteristics make it suitable for seals, bellows, dampers, protective parts, and flexible parts subject to repeated deformation.
